The house that people entered and never came out of, the house supposedly drenched in red. It was said people had lost loved ones to that house, and that it was haunted by its previous owner since it was shrouded in mystery and tragedy. The students of the school were advised against approaching the house, it was said to be dangerous to the health of the children and no one wanted a law suit on their hands. Of course, not all students listen. And some students look for these things and provoke others into accompanying them. Adelina waited at the edge of town, excited as she tapped her heel against the ground. After catching wind of the rumor she'd immediately told Gilbert and let most of the school know, and had managed to grab a decent sized group of people and rope them into going with her to the house. The gory rumors of vanishing students and towns people only made it more exciting, and she tugged on her auburn hair as her lips pursed. As the group converged she grinned and walked up the overgrown path, noticing that the air seemed to grow colder as they approached the gated house. Sucking in a breath she gazed at the house, somewhat alarmed as it seemed untouched by age and standing perfectly strong. But how? Frowning to herself she reached to hug herself close and took a step back. Something wasn't right about this house, perhaps it was a bad idea to have spread those rumors and convince people to go. "This place is starting to give me the creeps." She murmured quietly. The surrounding area was quiets sand, no wind rolled through the trees, it was dead quiet. Eerily the large house seemed to gaze down at them, even appeared momentarily to lean forward and try to swallow them up, but then again that could have been her imagination playing tricks on her once again and muddling her mind. Quietly she tugged on the heart earrings that dangled from her lobes, glancing around at the other students. Regardless if the other students seemed just as frightened as she did, she decided to take the initiative and take the first step onto the path leading to the front door. "It all seems rather empty, but dangerous. I wonder how it managed to stay so pretty looking after all these years." She wondered aloud to catch the attention of the others, took those first nervous steps as her heart hammered on in her chest. Hand on the doorknob she glanced back at everyone, flashing a pretty smile and opening the door. A shiver ran down her spine as she stood in the open doorway, fear washing over her and causing her to gasp. The emptiness of the place began to suck her in, but her feet seemed solidly rooted to the ground. She didn't know if she could take those next few steps without some helpful encouragement (or teasing) from someone else.
