In fact, the sun was barely visible behind a seemingly endless stretch of foreboding clouds that never ceased to dampen his spirits slightly. From his current position, sat on the sofa of his dorm room with a mug of coffee, he could successfully attempt to ignore the weather, instead choosing to gaze blankly at the television screen, too lazy to even acknowledge exactly what it was that he was watching. With a deep sigh, his bright green eyes scanned the room that was barely lit by the sky outside, noting that the only real light that could be seen was from the screen of the television and the faint glow of his wristwatch, claiming it to be 11:27am. It took a moment for him to for him to fully process his surroundings, smiling absently to himself as he took another gulp of his coffee, returning his gaze to the screen momentarily before he froze, realization finally dawning on him. Oh shit. It was only then that he finally remembered exactly what he was supposed to be doing that day, and why he had considered it to be a fairly important event. It was the first day of his classes, and he was already an hour or so late. He couldn't be sure of exactly how late he was, as he couldn't quite recall his timetable, but then again, that was nothing new. As a student, it had become almost normal for him to fail to arrive on time for anything, as he had always found his forgetfulness to be a problem, and although it was true that five years had passed since he had graduated fom the Academy, he had always found it difficult to break his old habits. Downing the remaining contents of his mug, he swung his legs down from the coffee table, barely managing to stand before he began to tear the room apart in search of his briefcase in a panicked rush, shrugging on his worn and now coffee-stained blazer as he shoved his black glasses over his face, making a bolt for the door with a sudden burst of agility that surprised even him, narrowly missing the wall as he skidded around the corner, increasing his speed with every door that he happened to pass on his way, only then recalling which classroom he had been allocated. Bursting through the door without warning, Chris took a moment to catch his breath, barely managing to wipe the beads of sweat from his face before he made a beeline for his desk at the front of the classroom, unceremoniously dumping his briefcase upon it with a resounding bang. He merely sat there for a moment, taking in his surroundings as he absently ran a hand through his dishevelled hair, an unnaturaly wide grin plastered across his face, standing to face the class side on, rummaging in his blazer pocket for a whiteboard marker momentarily. "Hey, dudes!" He began, his hand emerging from his pocket empty, to which he looked down and sighed, before returning his attention back to his class, "So, I'm Mr. Harlan, I guess, and I'm gonna be you're absolutely flawless and awesome teacher for this Semester! Sound good?" His grin widened further, if that was even humanly possible by now, slouching slightly as he raised his voice, shoving his hands into his pockets for lack of something better to do. "So, uhh... Got any quetions before we start? And by the way, does anyone have a board marker I could use? Guess I kinda forgot mine."
