Bright green eyes slowly skimmed a row of books, half lidded but concentrated on the task at hand. A small sigh, and the gaze shifted a row up. A smile spread across pink lips as her gaze drifted by the book she needed, the tiny girl stood on her tip toes as she reached up to grab it, but with pale fingertips barely brushing the spine she realized she was far too short to reach the desired text.
Puffing out her cheeks in irritation she looked around for a moment, skimming the room quietly as she looked for a ladder or a stool....or anything really that would help her with her mission. Walking over to a table where her things were neatly stacked (a couple of large books that looked rather worn, and her bag) she grabbed a stool hidden under the table. Carrying it toward the large bookcase she set it down and cautiously stood onto the small piece of furniture.
Reaching up she smiled in satisfaction as she pulled the volume from its position on the shelf, a triumphant and pleased look in her green gaze. She stepped back, throwing her weight off balance on the stool, and gasped as she suddenly began to topple over. She squeezed her eyes shut tightly as she felt her stomach drop.

With an unnecessarily loud, laborious sigh he began his descent into the dreaded library, gaze downcast to avoid the many horrors that surrounded him. Why he had even decided to enter the room he had no idea, although complete and utter boredom had undoubtedly played a part in his decision. As he ventured deeper into the room, hands shoves into his pockets, his backpack slung carelessly over one shoulder, he noted absently that he had only come across a select few students over the past few minutes, and couldn't help but smirk at the sight of a couple of freshmen rushing about with a surprising number of books piled up precariously in their outstretched arms. No doubt, the library was home to a vast number of the school's most dedicated nerds. With that in mind, his gaze finally rose to the countless number of bookshelves that surrounded him, taking a moment to fully process his surroundings, gazing in wonder at the seemingly endless stacks of books despite himself, eventually catching site of a petite figure a few metres away from where he was standing, the slightest hint of a cocky grin spreading across his features as he approached her, leaning against a bookshelf that stood directly behind her stool with his arms folded across his chest. He stood there watching in silence, his mind racing for a witty comment, and finding none. For some reason or another, it amused the albino greatly to stand and watch her struggle, reaching up for a book that he had originally thought to be just out of reach, despite the fact that she was standing on a stool. For a moment, it was humorous, right up to the point in which she moved to step back. Gilbert took no time in pushing away from the bookshelf abruptly, moving with outstretched arms to catch her in one surprisingly swift movement that anybody who knew him would swear blindly that it near impossible for him to do. He staggered for a split second upon impact, grabbing her by the waist, and grinning down at her as though he found the situation hilarious, leaning forward to whisper in her ear. "It's a good thing I've got my library card, because I'm totally checking you out." Adelina shuddered and wheezed for a moment, blinking and flinching as she was suddenly caught rather than hitting the floor. Opening her eyes cautiously she peeked up at the man above her. A small pout adorned her face as she gave him a blank expression, her face flushing only slightly as his stupid pick up line was whispered in her ear. Rolling her bright green eyes she squirmed in his arms for a minute, though she enjoyed his hold and being so close she knew all she was doing was managing to stroke his massive.......ego.
"You don't even have a library card Gilbert."
Lifting herself from his hold she smoothed down her skirt for a while before returning the stool to its previous position. Glancing over she saw several freshmen who had turned in their direction, and one jerky movement from the Junior girl made them jump and scurry away. Looking satisfied with herself she smiled and placed the book on top of a small pile of other novels. Turning back toward the young man she leaned against the table with her hands bracing her form.
"So why are you in the library of all people? Lose a bet?"
She smirked teasingly at him, knowing how he hated to be in this place of, god forbid, learning that only NERDS entered. Apparently one of those nerds was Adelina. She wasn't overly studious but she could focus when she needed to, and considering most of the work she did involved keeping Gilbert's grades afloat as well as her own, a lot of people would say she had her work cut out for her. That was the price she paid though for promising to look after him.
Not that she didn't enjoy it, otherwise she never would have never met the full trio in its glory. Smiling momentarily at the thought she released a small sigh of relief, at least the other two had the decency to be good at school so she didn't have to burden herself with watching over them too. After all, balancing out a bunch of AP courses for both her and Gilbert (how he even got in those classes was a completely mystery by the way) was a tough job, even with her mostly slacking off.

His signature smirk spreading across his features, Gilbert's gaze followed her every move as he went to lower himself in a nearby chair, reaching for one of her old, leather-bound titles.
"What? Is it a crime to be bored, now?"
Though it was true that he generally avoided the cursed room at all cost, he had found himself wandering around the school seemlingly aimlessly, slowly but surely growing weary of the endeavour, immediately abandoning it at the first chance that he had, although he hadn't predicted that he would find himself in the library of all places, surrounded by the most ridiculously socially awkward students in the Academy that the staff appeared to adore to an almost disturbing extent, merely due to the fact that they were sad enough to feel the desire to do absolutely nothing but revise and complete homework tasks that by far exceeded the initial exprectations of the teacher who had demanded that they sacrifice their social life to complete the task.
It wasn't as though he disliked them for wanting to succeed, although the mere prospect was enough to makethe albino feel nauseous. It was more the fact that they appeared to look down upon him from a seemingly great height, and more often than not would justify his reckless actions by claiming him to be 'stupid,' and they could therefore expect nothing less of him; a though that never ceased to both humiliate and anger him. It was only due to his girlfriend that he hadn't failed each and every one of his classes yet, and though he would never admit it, he did feel somewhat grateful for not having his father to deal with whenever he slacked off, after all, at the end of the day it didn't matter how he had acted in class, as long as he had aquired the grades that he was expected to achieve.
Looking up at her from where he was sitting, there was no doubt in her mind that she was beautiful, and upon meeting her gaze, staring into those huge emerald eyes that always seemed to glow with radiance, a happiness that he couldn't quite place, no matter how hard she may try to conceal it, although at the same time it made him feel unworthy, as though he didn't deserve for her to treat him quite as she did, almost insisting that she 'look after him' as she did so well. She always seemed to know exactly what he wanted, as well, but then seeing as they had been inspearable from an exceedingly young age it probably went without saying that she would.
Despite her apparent unconditional adoration for him, or as far as he was concerned, anyway, she did seem to work herself too hard, always seeming to put her work first in front of any 'more awesome' plans that h might have for the next lesson, although at the same time he would often manage to convince her to accompany him eventually. Flicking through her book as he was currently, Gilbert couldn't help but smile slightly as his concerns about her apparent 'nerdish' behavior were immediately proven to be true, judging by the frightening amount of words that consisted of considerably more than three syllables.
"So, what's with all the books, huh?" [style=padding: 0px 15px; font-size: smaller;] date;; February 16th! location;; The Library! outfit;; School uniform, complete with iron cross and hoodie music;; ...i dunno... xDD

"Gilbert, with you involved it'll turn into a crime about 80% of the time, and then I have to rescue you."
She released a small laugh and ran a hand through her hair. It was true that she was one of the most sensible out of the four that seemed to group together, of course she wasn't a "member" of the awkwardly named Bad Touch Trio, being a year behind them put her at a slight disadvantage, but she managed to make up for it by mellowing out Gilbert some once she did manage to arrive a year later. She somehow managed to take control of his reckless abandon and kept him in line, though she wasn't a stranger to allowing herself a bit of fun with him from time to time. Of course it was always made sure that things that needed to be kept in order were in order, such as schoolwork that was important and anything she needed from the library.
Though admittedly the amount of work it took to keep Gilbert not only out of trouble on campus, but also in the grade books, was absolutely exhausting she figured it was worth it as long as he didn't have to be too concerned about not understanding the material she seemed to understand with a natural flourishing ease. Maybe she took her promise to his father too seriously, rather than just keeping him in line she'd managed to comprehend that his asking for her help meant she had to watch over him like a mother hen.
It wasn't as though she really minded too much, it gave her an excuse to be beside him more often than not, and to think he hadn't wasted much time in asking her out in the short time it took her to bloom from a cute little girl to a beautiful young woman. She wasn't vain at all, but she did know she could be considered pettier than average. In the very least that seemed to be the mindframe of Gilbvert and how he thought about her, which made her heart soar to no end and caused a blush to color her cheeks in a pretty pink color.
Catching his red gaze in her own emerald pools her face flushed pink and she smiled in a slightly silly way, a slight questioning smile on her lips.
"Ah, you ok? You seem to be spacing out a bit, is there something on mein face?"
Blinking a bit she reached up and touched her face, gently rubbing at the corner of her pursed lips in a self conscious fashion. The last thing she needed was to go from Gilbert's teasing of her being a "nerd" to him teasing her about being careless in keeping her face clean. Pouting slightly as she quite rubbing she was satisfied that her face was clean, even with the slight nervous nagging in the back of her head that told her she didn't manage to catch the blemishing mark, whatever it may be.
"Those books are for our astronomy project."
Silently she noted it was a project he probably didn't even really know about, considering that when it was given and explained he had been sound asleep on his desk, and she had to nudge him awake. It didn't do much good seeing as all he did once his nap was disturbed was complain to her about "boring unawesome classes" and teachers who wouldn't simply shut up. Rolling her eyes for a moment she smiled and slid away from the table, sliding up to Gilbert and taking the book from his hands. She proceeded to perch herself delicately on his lap, thighs gently squeezing his waist as she straddled him and pale arms wrapping around his neck.
With pouting lips she kissed his cheek, they'd barely seen each other all day since she had refused to skip class with the trio since there was some make up work she needed to grab from skipping the day before. Unlike the trio she couldn't stand skipping class more than one day in a row, seeing as how it was difficult enough as it was to grab the work from double the classes, especially since most teachers at that point expected an excuse from the small girl as to why Gilbert wasn't present.
"You need to come to class more often."

Scoffing mockingly at her remark, Gilbert absently dismissed the coment with a flick of his hand, his gaze dropping once again down to the various books that were currently strewn across the table, a wide grin quickly spreading across his pale features. Honestly, did she do anything other than homework and revision for a seemingly endless stream of tests and exams? He could have sworn that she spent the majority of her life working. Granted, you undoubtedly needed to do so to succeed in school and ultimately college or in the workforce, although not as much as she seemed to do on an almost daily basis. That much he was sure of, though at the same time, despite how irritating her constant drive to do little more than work was, even he couldn't deny that it was impressive, to an extent, of course. Despite how impressive her resilience may or may not be, he, the awesome underachiever, couldn't simply abandon his almost daily routine of detentions, bothering various classmates and having what he often referred to as 'heated discussions' with whoever was unfortunate enough to have the task of attempting to teach him. Skipping class had, by now, become almost as normal to him as irritting Roderich, or asking Adelina to take up one of his homework tasks when he had failed to complete it on time.
With a smirk he noted silently, continuing to stare directly into her face, after a moment his expression all but blank, his thoughts were immediately scattered as she spoke, taking a few moments for her soft tones to penetrate his undoubtedly thick skull, blinking suddenly as his face contorted into a crooked smile, breaking out of his trance in an instant.
"...Huh? Oh, nein, I was just..uhh.. thinking… You know what? You've been looking really--" Gilbert stammered for a moment, the faintest hint of an almost genuine smile visible as he lowered his gaze, barely resisting as she pulled the book from his grasp, slipping onto his lap as though it were simply natural to her now, and without much hesitation he had found himself loosely wrapping his arms around her waist, only faintly aware of what was being said as he buried his face in those long brown locks of hers, his thoughts threatening to send him off into another of his daydreams once more.
"...Nice..Lately.."
Why she had the effect on him that he did he would never know, although despite the fact that his face had flushed a barely visible, but present all the same, shade of pink due to the effort that it took to compliment her, he failed to comprehend how she could straddle his lap, kiss him briefly, and still mention some form of work. How she could take a comment that was so obviously related to class and manipulate her own words to make them sound almost acceptable..casual,[i/] even, as though it were a perfectly reasonable topic to mention while flirting with your boyfriend, as though everyone did it on a daily basis, never ceased to confuse him. As he leaned in further to kiss her back, deliberately going straight for those beautiful red lips of hers, made even more so by that pout that he couldn't help but love, the way the corners of her mouth twitched.. He couldn't deny her natural beauty, made even more obvious due to her apparent lack of interest in coating herself in make-up as so many girls had begun to do more often during their highschool years, although despite it all, at the end of the day he was German. The complete personification of pure awesome. And stunning as she may be, he was by far too awesome to sink to the level of the possibly lovesick, or perhaps simply socially awkward, geeks that roamed the school in mass. He was not Austrian.
"...But ja, can I borrow your face for a few days? Mein ass is going on vacation."

Gilbert? Thinking? She nearly laughed out loud at the thought. Sure he wasn't the brightest crayon in the box to most people, but Addy always kept faith that if he actually tried in school he could be rather smart, despite what other people seemed to think about him. When everyone lost hope and gave up on Gilbert, she was determined to stay by his side, because she knew in all the years they had been friends, he had great potential. Just no motivation.
Sighing softly to herself she locked her gaze on that glimpse of a smile, that true smile that she never really got to see on Gilbert's face, and it made her heart flutter. It always brought her an immense amount of pleasure knowing she was the one who caused him to smile like that, that possibly she could make him just that happy. She was always aware of each touch, every glance and kiss he gave her, but moments like this seemed to make her melt.
Her face flushed pink, eyes glowing as she was very pleased for the rare compliment. In theory that was bad, he was her boyfriend and surely he should be complimenting her nearly every day, but this was gilbert, and we can't all have perfect boyfriends.
"Y-You think so?"
She held a note of surprise in her voice, though as she pressed closer to him she made her pleasure clear. A compliment from Gilbert of all people was something pretty damn special. Smiling into the sweet kiss she was suddenly, quite rudely, pulled from the dreamy daze she had sunken into. Clearly every compliment came with a price.
Face turning deeper pink, but this time with displeasure, she directly removed herself from his lap and turned her back to collect her books once again in a neat pile. She was agitated now, was it really that hard for him to be nice for once, without having to throw some insulting term in her face right after? With one hand on her hip and the other twisted in her long auburn locks she released a tight sigh.
"Sometimes I wonder if you're just messing with my head, or if you're serious about us."
She released the bold, pent up statement with a cold tone, not in the mood to scold him like a child. He acted so....so...innapropriately. She adored Gilbert, she really did, they had know each other for years, grown up together, played all those adventure games in the woods and told so many stories, and yet he still felt the need to prove himself somehow.
