OVERALL APPEARANCE
Nhi is a rather small young woman, she stands at a height of 5'2" and weighs around 120 pounds, she's healthy and despite her small stature is rather strong and completely capable of handling her own business. Because she does not like depending on others for even the smallest of things thanks to her untrusting nature, she makes sure she's strong enough to handle any situation by herself both emotionally and psychically. Her facial features give off the vibe of not wanting to be bothered, and at times make her look completely unapproachable. Her body is always properly up straight, she doesn't slug her shoulders or slouch when sitting, she's very respectful and does show she has manners.
Nhi's hair color is a dark brown color, it looks brighter in the sun however that fact isn't really important or something she takes the time to notice, if she cared she'd wear her hair in different styles than just the usual ponytail more often. Speaking of which, the brunette wears her hair in a low pony tail, tied a bit above the base of her neck, The locks hang down to her waist, and it's all straight and orderly. She has bangs that frame her face at the sides, the bangs in front of her forehead falling just above her eyes, straight down so they don't sweep to the left or right, or any other direction, besides down, imaginable. Though her hair is almost always in a pony tail, at times she does change to style. Other styles include her hair being up in a bun, a flower being added to her ponytail, and occasionally she'll leave it down.
The young woman's eyes are a glowing golden honey color, they are rather pretty and interesting to look into, the color isn't the most common so it's a unique trait of hers. They have a hardened and serious expression in them, giving her the correct look that she is not one for tom-foolery or anything in that manner. She is serious, and it reflects in her eyes as well as her body language. Her eye brows are defined, not extremely thick but not as thin as some, they fit her and give her a very mature look. She has thick eye lashes that complement her round eyes, her eyes lid usually relaxed looking.
Concerning her wardrobe, Nhi's tastes are simple and not at all drastic, despite that she does have good taste in simple things. She normally wears an áo dài, which is a national Vietnamese outfit in Vietnam for women. The áo dài is a a leaf green color, and her pants underneath are usually white. She almost always has a non la with her, she really loves the hat thus can't imagine not wearing one. When at school, she wears the appointed uniform because breaking the rules isn't something she likes to do.
LIKES
- Cinnamon Buns | Cinnamon buns are delicious, smother a little butter on the top and pop it in the microwave a few seconds, and you've got yourself a very tasty snack! Nhi's food of guilty pleasure, she'll eat countless buns if given the chance. The sweater the better, and she takes hers with plenty of icing on top.
- Traditional Vietnamese Food | Vietnamese food is what Nhi was raised on, thus she loves her homelands food and does miss it dearly, but she'll make due with the restaurants she can find. The food is great, and she loves it. It's the best food in the world as far as she's concerned, and she'll never pass up a chance at eating it.
- Reading & Writing | Reading is something Nhi often does in her free time, it's relaxing in her opinion. She likes interesting books, prefers factual books over fiction, but any book that can keep her interested is fine with her. She also enjoys writing, seeing as she isn't good at expressing herself verbally she prefers to write things down because she finds it easier and she's better at getting down what she means that way instead of sounding rude.
- Having her "Alone Time" | Nhi's "Alone Time" is a time where she's alone and can take a nap or drink tea, maybe read a book or watch the news. She really enjoys the time she gets alone, just by herself without having to be bothered by others or be forced into conversations she would rather avoid.
- Mornings | Despite most, Nhi loves mornings. She gets to wake up and take on a new task of getting through the day, and if it's a school day she's able to learn new things and pack them away in her mind. She really does enjoy school besides the pressure her father pushes on her to do well, but that's besides the point.
- Tea | Like reading, tea is relaxing and warm. It's delicious, and a healthy alternative to drinking sugar filled cans of soda. She does like the sweeter flavor of tea, but she isn't picky. As long as it quality tea she'll be happy with it and drink it contently. It's a calming drink, and relaxes her after a stressful day.
DISLIKES
- Pictures of Her Being Taken | Nhi doesn't see herself as being a photogenic person, and really doesn't like having her picture taken. She'd much rather shy away from the camera, and is very hesitant to accept getting her picture taken. Even school pictures bother her, she'd prefer to pass them up completely but some times she just has no choice.
- Arrogant People | To Nhi, arrogant people are obnoxious and big headed. Arrogance bugs her, boasting and showing off is nothing to be proud of, it only makes you look prideful and egotistical, and at times people don't like others showing off in front of them. Especially if others aren't able to achieve the something the arrogant person did, even though they'd die to be able to.
- Psychical Contact | Because Nhi isn't very sociable, things such as hugs make her uncomfortable and she can become cautious, demanding the person tell her why he or she has done such a thing. She will shove others off of her as a reflex, but if the result of shoving hurt them she will hesitantly apologize.
- Snooping People | When others stick there noses where it doesn't belong, it irritates Nhi and she finds the type of people very suspicious. Why do they need to snoop? Are they looking for something to use against someone? Questions likes these fill her head.
- Unnecessary Questions | Questions that lead no where are a complete waste of time. She doesn't like her time being wasted, and stupid questions are just that: stupid. If you need to ask her something, it better be serious and if not you better really need to know the answer.
- Owing People | Nhi hates when she owes someone, that means she has to think of a way to pay them back, and she isn't good at finding ways to do that. She'd rather not owe people because she can avoid them, but when she does owe people she has to go to them of her free will and try to search for an opportunity to pay them back, even if the person said it is unneeded.
STRENGTHS
- Rational | Vietnam is able to think with a clear mind, she doesn't let her own feelings get in way and is able to make rational decisions that some would see as difficult. She can easily make up her mind and choose the best decision that leads to the best out come, even if it is a difficult decision to make due to circumstances around. She's the type able to say things that others couldn't bring themselves to say.
- Strong-Willed | Lead by a strong will, Nhi isn't a weak person in mind or spirit, she has goals and strives forward. She isn't easily swayed to surrender or give up, she isn't a quieter and she follows through with plans made. Her stubborn nature makes it impossible for her to stop short, and her pride as well.
- Serious | Nhi is a very serious person, she's taken seriously and is able to go through with what she says. She isn't someone you can guilt very easily.
- To-The-Point | Not one to beat around the bush, Vietnam is able to say things as they are without hesitation. She doesn't beat around the bush in any way or form, she speaks what she thinks.
- Observant | Nhi is observant of her surroundings, she sees things others over look and takes the time to ponder on things. She's normally able to see through others facades due to studying them.
- Intelligent | Nhi is a very smart girl, she takes her schooling seriously and always studies. She looks back at past tests and learns from them, she doesn't want her schooling to go to waste thus is serious about it. She does very good in school, she's in a lot of Honors classes, but she doesn't go out and party so she's usually studying very hard.
WEAKNESSES
- Anti-Social | Nhi isn't the most sociable, thus she has a hard time socializing, and she isn't too keen on talking to others either. She's just awkward when she tries, and often doesn't know how to start up a conversation.
- Suspicious of Others | Nhi views everyone as a threat, she doesn't trust others easily and always thinks they have a motive if they are friendly to her, and more than not she suspects the motive to be bad.
- Untrusting | Nhi doesn't trust anyone besides herself, she doesn't want her trust to be stomped on. It's a terrible feeling when you are betrayed, and she refuses to feel that way again thus keeps to herself.
- Holds Grudges | Nhi isn't one to forgive others, if you betray her you're dead to her, and it's best not to bother her. She doesn't forgive others easily, it's just showing the person she's weak and will forgive.
- Intimidating | Even when Nhi doesn't mean to be, she can come off intimidating because she isn't the best at interacting with others, thus can say things that can come off as intimidating even when she doesn't mean it to sound like it did. She can think one thing, but when she tries to put her thoughts into words they just don't come out right.
- Independent | Of course there is nothing wrong with being independent, but Nhi takes it to a different level. She doesn't rely on anyone for anything, even if she really truly needs help with something. She doesn't trust others easily, thus she doesn't except help easily.
PERSONALITY
HISTORY
RP EXAMPLE
As soon as she stepped foot into the seemingly old house when you looked at it from the outside, the Asian Nation's stomach twisted in a uncomfortable way. A eerie feeling hit her, and she didn't feel right being in the mansion. Feathers ran up and down her spine, and her wariness hit her full force. She didn't like being inside, she wanted to go outside, but then again she was wondering if this was America just adding to the eeriness with some sort of Hollywood gizmo gadget, she wouldn't put it past him. He liked scary movies if she could recall, so maybe he was trying to recreate some scene out of a horror movie. Either way, she didn't like it and did plan to question America about it, but she couldn't find him amongst the faces. She should have followed his obnoxious voice, but before she could concentrate the doors slammed shut. A few younger nations squeaked, but she remained still despite a small jolt of movement from her.
Honey golden eyes turned to the once open door, someone was trying to pull it open but it was of no use, it was like it was glued shut. Almost like it took on a mind of its own and intended to lock everyone inside. Was this also a plan of America's? No, he wasn't laughing or saying anything so she was starting to really doubt that being the case. "What's going on here?" Vietnam whispered under her breath, not talking to anyone around but herself. Brows furrowed, her body stiffening slightly as she tried to reason with why the door wouldn't open. Maybe it was just stuck, it was an old house if she recalled.
Speaking of which, looking around the interior, Vietnam finally took notice of the inside. The walls weren't dusty or rotten, and they should be if the place was abandoned. Everything looked nice, not old or in ruins. Did America possibly clean up? She doubted it, and that fact did not make her feel calmer.
It was getting warm in her TOPIO costume, but she refused to step out of it at the moment. She clenched her robotic fake gun tighter, a frown marrying her lips. I knew I should not have come here, I would have been better off at home reading a good book. The only reason Vietnam showed up at all was really only because the other Asian Nations had, and she didn't want to be bothered by Thailand, him and his "Ana~" could bother her... A lot. And she wanted to show off her costume without blatantly going around boasting about how well it was made and such, it was a pretty neat costume. But now with the scary incident, she was really wishing she could have just stayed home.
Maybe she should click her imaginary red heels together and and chant "There's no place like home"? If only that would work.
