Her black school shoes clip clopped softly across the stone floor shuffling carefully Mei maneuvered her way through the small (yet growing) crowd of early risers, with easy elegance until she finally reached her locker. She fiddled with the combination till it fell open with a click, the corridor was emptying now and it was at least an hour until her first class and she didn’t know what to do. Breakfast was an option but she wasn’t hungry and she never really ate breakfast anyway it made her feel far too bloated during her early morning lessons and Mei could never concentrate properly on a full icky stomach. She much preferred to wait until lunchtime where she could pick her favourite dishes and try new exciting ones!
The hallway was empty now, with all her books balanced on top of one another slightly obscuring her vision, stupidly Mei carefully stepped quickly trying her hardest to keep the books together. Her plan was to make it to one of the windowsills so she could sort the books out properly and decide which would be the most important for the day and which she didn’t need (as she hadn’t thought to do it while at her locker) her grin quickly disappeared however as her grip began to loosen, her large dark eyes widened and her pale lips fell slightly agape as her books fell to the floor with a deep thud. She gasped as she fell on her knees, paper and sheets where flying everywhere and half of the books were scattered across the floor, desperately she scrabbled to pick them all up and it would have been easy if it wasn’t for the strong breeze from the open window. “H-hey come back.” shouted Mei her gentle voice seemed to echo off of the tall stone walls as she desperately scurried after the floating piece of paper only praying it wasn’t something important. She chased the missing sheet futilely not noticing the approaching figure, the paper finally fluttered to the floor in front of the approaching person. A wide blush reddened her cheeks as she bent down to retrieve it.
“S-sorry,” she apologized bowing her head in embarrassment. “I d-dropped my books and it just got away from me.” She rambled

Nonchalantly the self proclaimed Romeo of the school wandered the halls, coffee in one hand the remnants of a nearly completely eaten croissant in the other. He licked his lips, just happy he'd managed to get a real French treat and not some faulty bakery product that was a joke. He was in a rather good mood this morning, he'd woken up earlier than usual and managed to avoid the ear splitting alarm clock. Contently sipping his coffee he allowed the sweet warmth to fill him, humming with pleasure as he walked.
The breeze was slightly chilly, as it was the morning and the suns rays were still weak. Shivering as he passed a window he passed a hand through his hair, glancing out the window to gaze over the school lawns. He twitched slightly as he heard a cry, and curiosity overtook him as he determined the source being female. Walking quickly he managed to stop before crashing into the poor girl with horrible luck.
With a dashing smile he looked down at the girl, glancing behind her at the mess of books and papers everywhere.
"Ah, 'ave a little accident did we?"
Walking past her he bent down, gracefully might I add, and helped the small girl collect her papers and books in a neat order. It was only polite and gentlemanly to do such a thing, and after all he was a true Frenchman who prided himself in chivalrous behavior.
Stacking the books on the windowsill, he closed the offending object so no other papers would be threatened by the breeze that swept through the emptying halls.
"I trust you are alright mon amie?"

Mei-Mei looked up and blinked after her stutter of apologies. Senior student, Francis Bonnefoy stood staring at her with a charming smile on features. There were many rumours connecting themselves to Mr Bonnefoy, most of them depicted him as the schools scoundrel and a pervert. In all her years Mei-Mei could never understand why anyone would bask in such a title. She’d always been taught that romantic ways and thoughts should be kept to oneself, or to the privacy of your own home. Though having little experience in the matters she quickly reminded herself she had no right to judge. No matter what the overbearing voice in the back of her head said.
“Ah, Ni hao upperclassman.” Said Mei politely “I terribly sorry, the breeze it knocked my papers everywhere I hadn’t mean to get in your way.” She said falling into a quick ramble. She wasn’t shy, she was simply sorry her ladylike and rather overly friendly persona made it quite hard for her to truly be a shy person she was far to welcoming.
“Thank you.” She said “But you don’t have to help me.” She offered Mei-Mei always hated to think she was burdening others, in fact she detested the thought and Francis probably had better things to do then pick up her spilled papers for her. But nevertheless as she stared dumbfounded Francis had already begun stacking her books neatly and throwing them into her bag. Now she felt quite guilty, it wasn’t fair on him that he’d done that. Sure she hadn’t asked but still she felt terribly guilty.
“I am fine.” She said slowly as her mind still tried comprehended what he’d done for her. “But you really didn’t have to do that I didn’t mean to trouble you,” she said her tone drenched with guilt “is there anything I can do for you in return?” she said uncomfortably “I do not wish to burden myself.”

A small laugh echoed from his lips, raising both of his hands as he finished with the young lady’s books. He waved off the apologies insistently, not wanting to worry about her seeming concern over his help. His coffee was set on the sill as he leaned against the wall, watching her response with an amused look gracing his features.
This girl was just a bit too cute for her own good, not that he’d be too adamant about letting her know that. Despite being depicted as a flirt it wasn’t as though he walked up to people and groped them, that was reserved for close friends (Toni and Gilbert) who he’d known for years.
“Do not worry about this, it is a trivial thing.”
His accent dripped over his words sweetly as he waves a hand, a bemused smile on his face. He preened for a moment, reveling in his good mood before addressing the girl once more.
“I am always glad to help such a cute damsel in distress!”
He winked and chuckled to himself, wondering how far his charms would push the conversation along. He blinked and smiled briefly at her apology, was there anything she could do for him? He thought for a moment, there were numerous answers he could give all concerning perhaps a date mademoiselle! or just join me for an afternoon stroll~ but watching the girl carefully he couldn’t bring himself to say any such things to her.
She seemed so little, and if he held any real interest in chasing another student, he limited himself to juniors and seniors as a rule.
A pleasant smile slid over his face as he watched the girl. “Ah mademoiselle” He began in a soft even tone, his coffee once again in his hands. “Perhaps you would allow me to walk you to class? That is all I would request!” It was an innocent enough gesture, he wasn’t too eager to leave behind that adorable face anytime soon.
And anyway, he was somewhat eager to perform a cute task usually left for grammar school kids such as carrying a girl’s books for her, the thought was positively adorable!
